Company Description

Kando was established in 2012 with the desire to lead a significant improvement in the quality of effluent discharged to the environment. Our game-changing solution is offered as a cloud-based SaaS. Using smart analysis of in-house developed algorithms, we radically reduce costs for water utilities. Kando provide's a complete 24/7, 360-degree overview of wastewater underground networks. Our solution represents a groundbreaking approach to wastewater networks, using our extensive field experience. We passionately provide unique and creative solutions, through a deep understanding of our client's needs, to create a cleaner environment for a better world.

Adroit Technologies is a privately held software development company that has been developing award winning real-time software for the industrial automation markets for over 25 years. The principal activities of the company are product development, consulting and solutions development, primarily in the industrial sector. Year founded: 1989 Revenue: $11 - 100 million (2014 est.)

Advanticsys creates monitoring and control products and solutions that improve processes and services in areas such as energy, agriculture and environment in a global marketplace. Year founded: 2009 Revenue: $1 - 10 million (2014 est.)

Eurotech is a global company focusing on embedded computers and Pervasive Computing, which combines three key factors: the miniaturisation of computers capable of processing information; their spread in the real world - in buildings and machinery, on board vehicles, on persons and in the environment; and their ability to network and communicate. Year founded: 1992 Revenue: $69 million (2014) BIT: ETH

Cognex Corporation is the world leading provider of vision systems, vision software, vision sensors and surface inspection systems used in manufacturing automation. Cognex is also a leader in industrial ID readers. Cognex vision helps companies improve product quality, eliminate production errors, lower manufacturing costs, and exceed consumer expectations for high quality products at an affordable price.
Urbiotica provides Smart city solutions such as Smart Parking, Noise Monitoring and Traffic monitoring to the urban regions worldwide and especially in Europe and South America Urbiotica continues to lead the revolution of the Internet of Things applied to Smart Cities.Their multiple international projects make them the leading technology company for products and solutions that improve the management of urban services. Urbiotica is a technology company offering innovative sensor networks to transform the way in which cities are managed worldwide. The company’s sensor networks measure in real time variables such as on-street parking availability, traffic flows, air quality, acoustic pollution or dumpster fullness levels. Year founded: 2008

Enlighted ambitions to help customers to reach long-range sustainability goals while saving money and increasing efficiency. By providing smart energy solutions for commercial buildings through the usage of first-in-class sensor and analytics platform, their technology reduces costs and improves the comfort of workspaces and the efficiency of the people who work in them.

Samsara builds sensor systems that combine wireless sensors with remote networking and cloud-based analytics - all in an easy-to-use, software-centric solution. Samsara believes that by making sensors simple to deploy and their data easy to consume, customers will be able to deploy them by the thousands, and in places they've never been used before.
Terepac was founded in 2004 to commercialize breakthrough innovations which overcome these limitations through an entirely new paradigm for assembly, integration and packaging of electronic products. The company’s revolutionary technologies enable sophisticated microelectronics to be printed on flexible substrates at a fraction of the size and cost of creating conventional circuits. Entire devices with microprocessors, memory, and sensors can be reduced to less than a millimeter square, thinner than paper, and flexible enough to bend around a pencil – with no sacrifice in performance.
IoT Solutions

Kando’s end-to-end solution Clear Upstream provides continuous awareness of events in wastewater networks. IoT Sensing Units - Off-the-shelf water quality and dynamics sensors are integrated with a Controller and packaged into a robust, self-powered IoT unit. Introduced into the network at strategic locations via manholes, these units collect continuous data and transmit it to a cloud-based analytics engine. Some configurations of the IoT unit include automatic water samplers, primed to collect physical samples when triggered by real-time pollution events. Web-based Analytics Engine - Data collected by the sensors is pushed to Kando’s remote analytics platform, where thousands of datapoints are processed and cross-referenced to identify patterns and irregularities. This information is presented to clients as real-time pollution alerts and network health updates, using live maps, online dashboards, and text messages to ensure absolute clarity and maximum application value. Clear Upstream Methodology - Kando’s team examines each clients’ needs and network characteristics individually, using their analytics engine to generate a bespoke plan for IoT units’ optimal deployment. Units are then installed at strategic locations around the network, allowing for maximum data gathering at minimum cost. Unit locations are continuously reevaluated and optimized as more data is gathered and processed.

Andoit Technologies believes that in the year 2020, the world will be more connected, wireless networks will connect more machines than people and M2M technology will help us to be more energy and cost efficient, safer and more secure. This is the era of connected intelligence. With over 25 years’ experience in delivering scalable SCADA solutions into industries such as water and waste water, utilities, oil and gas, mining, telecommunications and a host of other industries, Adroit Technologies was placed to leverage its SCADA solution and build the Adroit M2M platform. Adroit’s Agent/Object architecture within the I/O Server offers a lot more built-in functionality such as scripting, transacting data into databases etc. saving users massive development time.

A huge part of the emerging Internet of Things (IoT) applications can significantly benefit from context awareness, in particular location awareness. This information might pertain to the location of the user, to the location of devices/appliances or both of them and hence enable a lot of powerful applications, for example, in hospitals to track equipment, doctors, and patients or in industrial environments to track and trace persons and assets. However, IoT research rather focuses on architectures, which includes components for context awareness, but pays less attention to how and with which accuracy context is achieved. Many algorithms and approaches have been proposed for indoor RF-based localization; however, low cost and accurate indoor localization is still very challenging. Many research and commercial solutions claim very high accuracies, which can, however, only be achieved in a very specific setting under ideal conditions. Adbanticsys Research Department is working on the development of cost-effective indoor localization solutions in real-life environments such as warehouses or underground mining sites.

Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine to Machine (M2M) focus on transforming bits of data collected at the edge of a pervasive distributed system into actionable information and knowledge for business decision makers and end users. These transformations are driving the biggest change in industry since the steam engine! One of the most important aspects of IoT vision is that smart objects communicate effectively with each other and with applications residing in data centers or the cloud. Eurotech develops and offers the technical building blocks required to build distributed systems of devices and sensors to be effectively interconnected with IT infrastructures. Eurotech solutions are a combination of hardware, Firmware, operating systems, programming frameworks and external infrastructure that enable customers focus on their core activities.

Cognex machine vision and barcode reading tools enable companies around the world to improve assembly verification, eliminate defects, automate production and identify challenging barcodes reliably across a wide range of industries and applications.

At Enlighted, they’re already making IoT solutions a reality for the customers with our industry-leading IoT platform and high-level applications. Going forward, the possibilities are endless.
