Company Description | NavVis is a leading provider of high-end digital building technology for large commercial and industrial properties. Our cutting edge indoor mapping, visualization and navigation technology is being applied in every industry that uses, manages or builds indoor space. Digital building technology is benefiting everything from construction monitoring, facility management, and plant planning, to transportation hubs and multi-channel retailing.
Our products consist of: The M3 Indoor Mapping Trolley, a highly-accurate mobile scanning device that enables fully comprehensive digital data capture; the browser-based IndoorViewer software, which brings this data to life by enabling users to access and interact with 3D building models and maps from any device; and our pioneering vision-based Indoor Navigation technology. This technology brings highly-accurate and intuitive navigation to indoor spaces, without the need for any additional infrastructure.
We currently employ over 130 people at our headquarters in Munich. In October 2016, we opened our first international office in New York. | Like most great ideas, they appear simple and logical once they’re created. INRIX is no different. When the company was founded nearly a decade ago, drivers and departments of transportation relied on expensive sensors installed in a few roads to understand real-time traffic conditions. However, this approach was expensive to install and maintain, and only covered a few roads. INRIX took a different approach, revolutionizing how traffic information was created by analyzing data from the vehicles themselves. The logic was if you could analyze traffic information from the vehicles, you could understand traffic conditions everywhere. Crowd-sourcing and INRIX was born.
INRIX is collaborating with 100's of world class companies to transform how people and commerce move across the world’s transportation networks. As Big Data and the Internet of Things changes everything from where people go and what they do to how they get from place to place, INRIX is at the forefront of connecting cars to smarter cities and understanding the science of traffic.
Today, we operate the most robust driver network in the world that includes 275 million vehicles, smartphones, cameras, incidents and other sensors with the ability to cover nearly 5 million miles of road, ramp and interchange in over 40 countries. The beautiful simplicity of our approach is the more vehicles and devices that connect with us, broadens our data intelligence providing a cycle of increasing accuracy. And INRIX alone can provide it.
However, INRIX does more than just take the guesswork out of traffic. We’re connecting cars for smarter cities every day. Over half of the world’s population is living in urban centers today, and this number is growing rapidly. We’re helping governments tap into Big Data and the Internet of Things to engineer systems for smart cities that go beyond traffic to address the individual, economic and environmental challenges of urbanization.
In addition to making it easier for drivers to navigate their world, our applications and services are helping companies more intelligently locate and manage their businesses.

IoT Solutions | The NavVis ecosystem enables the integration of a range of IoT solutions. Anything that can be visualized in a browser can be visualized in the NavVis IndoorViewer. We create one master HMI (Human Machine Interface) that is both visual and intuitive. This allows the consolidation of different IoT data into one easy-to-understand interface. This in turn enables users to immediately take action, for example by sharing a link to a malfunctioning machine with a technician.
Why use NavVis technology?
Importantly, first experiences have indicated that deploying an IoT system in a larger building with NavVis is cheaper, compared to conventional methods. With our open API, you can begin streaming data within just a few hours, and you have access to a global view of your space, even available on a phone or tablet. The NavVis IndoorViewer provides a modern, attractive HMI platform, increasing the perceived value of the entire system. | | SenseAgent delivers in a single sensor hardware product on a platform capability across multiple applications;
lighting control – sensing ambient light, pasive infrared movement detection, and energy metering for control of lighting,
environment – ambient temperature, humidity, sound, CO2, and TVOC for management of the environment and workplace,
real time location – Bluetooth tracking and location of assets and people for real time utilisation, efficiency, safety and security in the workplace. Levaux’s core competitive advantage stems from an architecture designed from the outset as an integrated complex system that is enterprise scalable, secure and robust without sacrificing speed. This military specification (or ‘MIL SPEC’) capability and platform comes from the founder’s steeped background in military systems and networked warfare based on a PhD in Complex Systems Engineering solving computational quantum mechanics problems using distributed communication techniques The Levaux capability is not the typical ‘software’ start up but a business that represents the intersection between Information Technology (IT) and Operation Technology (OT), where information through monitoring now effects outcomes through control. Importantly the powerful Levaux ‘communications backhaul’ delivers;
1. low latency and high bandwidth – round trip from server to gateway and sensor under 200ms across an IP network and wireless mesh network
2. asynchronous, bi-directional; communication based on a session managed RPC connection eschewing the Internet of Things or IoT preference for ‘lite’ message-based cloud connectivity protocols,
3. Quality of Service with; scalable efficient protocols that minimise bandwidth, with dynamic (addressable and updatable) Firmware, and edge compute capability allowing sensors and gateways to process data at the source, providing autonomy and removing cloud dependency, whilst improving speed, performance and reliability, affording scaling of a robust integrated complex system,
4. security based on authenticated connections with multiple layers of Encryption and binary encoded data,
5. Interoperability at the device, mesh, gateway and cloud level affording unlimited flexibility with; applications and assets all addressable via OpenAPI, built on cloud agnostic tools allowing full transportability and localisation to meet with disciplined security and protocols and demanding legal jurisdictions. | VRII Smart Factory – Smart device intelligent management Intelligent service that helps enterprises to implement transparent management.
